Enhancing Disaster Resilience Education Disaster education plays a vital role in disaster resilience, which refers to the capacity of communities to withstand natural disasters. this can be understood through a location based approach that considers a region's specific social, environmental, and economic contexts. Disaster education refers to the systematic dissemination of knowledge and skills aimed at disaster preparation and management, targeting various audiences to improve responder safety, enhance patient outcomes, and mitigate disaster effects.
Enhancing Disaster Resilience Education Disaster resilience education (dre) equips children and young people with the skills and confidence to take protective actions before, during and after an emergency or disaster. dre is provided in both formal learning setings and informal learning setings. This study analyzes community based interventions in disaster education, emphasizing their influence on teacher resilience and well being. by integrating diverse studies and focusing on community based interventions, we provide a comprehensive understanding, bridging the existing knowledge gap. Each year breaks climate records, with the past seven years (2015 to 2021) having been the warmest years ever recorded (wmo, 2022). in this context, unesco gives priority to disaster risk reduction (drr) and resilience in the education sector, following an all hazard, all risk approach. This research is expected to strengthen disaster education in indonesia, enhance preparedness, and contribute to the broader field of disaster risk reduction.
