Home Community Climate Solutions An increasing and wide variety of grassroots community initiatives is emerging, responding to climate risks and sustainability challenges. Community based adaptation (cba), with its participatory, inclusive and needs based bottom up approach, offers a promising and powerful alternative. this article uses a semi systematic literature review approach to screen the current literature and identify core issues of cba. The solutions project is a national nonprofit organization that promotes climate justice by funding and amplifying frontline community climate organizations, especially those led by women of color. Communities at the frontline of climate change impacts such as floods, droughts and other extreme weather events have critical knowledge on how best to cope, and what is needed to enable this climate adaptation.
