Design concept and art direction for the 25th anniversary of design indaba. design indaba approached me to contribute branding, campaign art direction and festival packaging to the 25th anniversary of the conference, happening in 2020 at the artscape theatre in cape town. Designers, makers, leaders, inventors, innovators, creatives, and thinkers will come together as the indaba beckons. running from 26 – 28 feb 2020, at artscape theatre in cape town. The duo rolled the programme out across in universities in cape town, durban and johannesburg – compiling the work into what is effectively a design map of south africa. since returning home, the duo has collaborated with locked down artists and designers across italy. Next event: 26 28 february 2020. the artist combines science fiction, afrofuturism and cinema to speculate on the myths of the future. the royal college of art graduate’s work focuses on meditation and developing technology for the mind.
