Blender Darker Theme We all love blender's user interface that came with the 2.8 release. but if you want to have all the gray ui tones just a tad darker, this theme is for you. For some reason final rendered image is a lot darker than what shows in the program it self. it looks like the contrast level is to big, you can even see the color difference in shots.

Blender Darker Theme Someone may have already said this, but if you want it to feel darker without making it impossible to see the detail, try adding a dark blue light that illuminates the shadowy areas. With this node setup you can give your shadows whatever color you want. i used b spline as interpolation in color ramp, use whatever you prefer. i'm using eevee as the render engine with a ground plane just to catch the shadow one overhead light casts. these are the shader settings for the plane. Quick summary, my current project uses a base metal material, and a decal material for fine details over that, blended with material nodes. at the moment, i’m trying to add a part to one of the decal layers, to create a darker patch on the overall image. Just a darker version of default blender dark theme. install via blender preferences window, under theme tab ("install " button).

True dark theme pack is a collection of modern and flat dark themes for blender’s user interface. these themes come in various variants, including gray and black. What i like to do instead of shadow catcher feature is to use shader to catch shadow and indirect light, emissive light it is also great as feedback if environment texture lights properly. but it failed with grass particle system here. Just a darker version of default blender dark theme. 😉 install via blender preferences window, under theme tab ("install " button). Few day ago i was trying to find a simple darker theme for blender but i couldn't one without huge shift in colors and icons, and switches, so i made this te fill my need.
