Home Curriculum Insights The curriculum insights and progress study was established in 2023 to monitor year 3, 6 and 8 student achievement and progress in the refreshed new zealand curriculum and develop insights that can be used to enable and support system improvement. The curriculum insights and progress study (curriculum insights) is the lead indicator used to measure progress towards the government’s achievement target of 80 percent of year 8 students being at or above the expected curriculum level for their age in reading, writing, and maths by 2030.
