Home Curriculum Insights The curriculum insights and progress study was established in 2023 to monitor year 3, 6 and 8 student achievement and progress in the refreshed new zealand curriculum and develop insights that can be used to enable and support system improvement. The curriculum insights and progress study (curriculum insights) is the lead indicator used to measure progress towards the government’s achievement target of 80 percent of year 8 students being at or above the expected curriculum level for their age in reading, writing, and maths by 2030. The information we provide is used by government, schools and teachers to improve education. all findings, data windows and insights reports are published on the dedicated curriculum insights website here. Each year, we work with over 6,000 students in years 3, 6, and 8 from around 160 schools to help build a national picture of student learning. the insights we gather support the ministry of education, schools, and teachers to improve outcomes for all ākonga.

We provide educational insight into the whole learner. our digital assessments measure cognitive and non cognitive abilities, as well as attributes that contribute to educational success. this insight empowers teachers and school leaders to unlock the potential of every learner.
