Current Sherman Lab
Sherman Lab Home His current work is focused on using chronic high density multielectrode (i.e., neuropixels) recordings in behaving mice to understand how information traversing motor transthalamic circuits contributes to skilled movements in mice. Sherman was the scientific director of the institute of nutrition, metabolism and diabetes (cihr inmd, 2009 2017). research focus: inflammatory bowel diseases (crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) cause chronic intestinal inflammation, severe abdominal pain, and bloody diarrhea, although the underlying cause (s) is unknown. dr.
Contact Sherman Lab We analyze the vne, ir, and il of single qubits, entangled photon pairs in bell tests, three qubit systems in quantum teleportation, multiple qubit systems of ghz and w states, and two qubit werner mixed states, emphasizing their il dependence on parameters such as polarization bias and qubit count. We offer a comprehensive menu of molecular pathology testing performed by a team of world class leaders in micorbiology and molecular pathology. why choose sherman abrams? we are constantly asked, “what makes sherman abrams laboratory better?” and we actually love that question!. Composed of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of scientists, the sherman laboratory studies the biosynthesis of natural products from microbes that include cyanobacteria, actinomycetes, and myxobacteria. Studies development of resistance to targeted cancer therapy. investigates effects of bag3 associated signaling pathways on cancer development. develops a double barcoding system to monitor drug effects on tumors and metastasis. collaborates with chemists to develop potent antibody drug conjugates.

Research in our lab is currently focused on the activation of t cells, which plays a central role in mounting adequate immune responses to foreign pathogens. One goal of our laboratory is to augment the ability of t lymphocytes to respond to certain self antigens in order to eliminate tumor cells. to this end, we utilize a variety of transgenic murine models in order to study autoimmunity and tumor immunity. His current work in the sherman lab employs a similar strategy to fight against the deadly mycobacterial infections and to uncover novel drugs and drug targets. Dr. mara sherman's lab at the sloan kettering institute is “all pancreas, all the time.” learn how her research program is illuminating interactions between cancer cells and the dense weave of fibrous cells that surrounds and protects pancreatic tumors.
