Cougars Archives Wildcat Ridge Sanctuary With the exception of humans, the cougar has the largest range of any mammal in the western hemisphere. some cougars eat porcupines, quills and all, apparently without any harm. cougars can jump 18 feet from the ground into a tree and they have been known to jump 20 feet up or down a hillside. Cougars Archives Wildcat Ridge Sanctuary Rainier is an orphaned female, wild born cougar who arrived at the sanctuary in january of 2020 when she was just 3 months old. we’d been contacted to see if we could provide a forever home for rainier and her siblings, as we’ve done for so many orphaned cougars in the past. We are live with the 3 wild cougars rainier, tacoma, and quincy || the wildcat sanctuary. We provide animals with a lifelong home and care, rehabilitating them physically and mentally in a life of sanctuary. through public education, and specifically the education of our children, we work to end the big cat trade. Wildcat ridge is a ‘last hope’ sanctuary located in beautiful scotts mills, oregon. our mission is to provide a safe, natural lifetime home for captive born wildcats in need.
