Community Science Resilience Accelerator Agu
Agu American Geophysical Union Since 2013, thriving earth exchange has been committed to strengthening and enhancing collaboration among communities, scientists and partner organizations so that all communities can build healthy, resilient, thriving, just and ecologically responsible futures. It hosts resources including case studies, guides, curricula, data sets, blogs, videos, and art, that illustrate the work of community science around the globe.
Community Science Resilience Accelerator Agu For 2023, nsf is considering a new track on community science and community resilience. our goal is to offer nsf guidance about such a track. Thriving earth exchange supports community science by helping communities find resources, project managers, and experts to address their pressing concerns. together they work to help communities be more empowered, resilient, and responsive. In late 2022, the national science foundation (nsf) invited the american geophysical union (agu) to lead an inclusive process to design a convergence accelerator track on community science and community resilience. By examining resilience theory, this paper seeks to understand how ‘resilience’, specifically ‘community resilience’, is defined in literature across disciplinary boundaries. the findings have implications for applying community resilience theory with specific consideration of the built environment.
