Using a people first approach, groundswell developed the resilience hub by working with community and church leadership in a collaborative effort.

Community Resilience Hubs Groundswell A collaboration between public and private partners is celebrating construction beginning on one of the first community owned resilience hubs in the southeast, at a church in west atlanta. As the developer for this community resilience hub, groundswell worked with leaders from the community church to meet the greatest needs within the neighborhood while building off the groundwork laid by the breaking barriers project. Groundswell, in partnership with the community church atlanta, stryten energy, interurban picture voltaic, the metropolis of atlanta, the wells fargo foundation, and gm, celebrated the event launch of one in all many first community owned resilience hubs throughout the southeast. Groundswell has spearheaded the development of the hub, focusing on creating a reliable power source for essential devices, preserving temperature sensitive medications, and maintaining communications during emergencies.
