Every three years, united way of metropolitan dallas’ community impact grant program awards dozens of grants to north texas nonprofits that are driving meaningful change in our focus areas of education, income and health. Uwmd is able to fund exceptional programs through the implementation of the community impact fund process, a competitive and transparent allocation process that is open to all nonprofit organizations that are able to meet eligibility criteria. Through the nike community impact fund (ncif), we provide one year grants to local nonprofits and schools that are driving positive, lasting change and doing their part to make play possible for youth in their communities. With approximately 2 million in distribution, community impact serves the austin, houston, dallas and san antonio metro areas. The community impact fund is comprised of unrestricted contributions that allow the foundation to make grants to eligible nonprofits and strengthen organizational capacity, effectiveness, and sustainability to meet the most critical needs in our communities.
