Community Climate Resilience Discussion Scottish Seabird Centre Communities are on the frontlines of the climate crisis, facing risks such as extreme weather, food insecurity, and displacement. strengthening climate resilience is most effective when communities themselves lead the process—drawing on their knowledge, priorities, and capacities to shape solutions. The imperative for community engagement and participatory design in building climate resilient cities stems from the recognition that climate change disproportionately affects urban populations, particularly those in vulnerable communities.
