Community Assets Indigenous Community Development Prosperity The community of practice will be facilitated primarily by seattle based big water consulting, which has more than ten years of experience working with tribes and tribal organizations on economic development, planning, and housing issues. This paper establishes an analytical framework for understanding and assessing indigenous economic development and well being in a place based context. We provide technical assistance, training, and funding to assist tribes and tribal members with starting and sustaining their businesses, and bringing their innovative ideas to the marketplace. We're dedicated to supporting indigenous businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs and first nations economic development corporations (edcs) to achieve sustainable development and maximize their economic potential. Our study identifies six themes: economy, ecology, livelihood, socio demographic factors, sustainable development, and politics, policies, and partnerships. for each theme and sdg, we pinpoint research gaps and propose potential directions. This initiative will bring together tribal recipients of eda grant awards and economic development practitioners in indigenous communities to learn from each other and build capacity for funding and implementing economic development projects.
