Home Climate Emory Climate social students, faculty, and staff gathered during the end of the semester to mingle, socialize, and discuss collaboration on climate projects at emory. The primary goal of the emory climate and heath research incubator is to identify and pursue climate and health research projects that can have a significant impact on society.
Home Climate Emory With no on campus climate strikes since september 2023, leaders of green organizations on campus are left speculating about the causes of the inaction. for some, a lack of specific environmental issues to advocate for is to blame. Emory’s sustainability initiatives are training future leaders in fighting the climate crisis with educational efforts like the climate talks lecture series, and the piedmont project, which has been helping emory educators implement climate change curriculum in the classroom since 2001. Ecast provides a forum for undergraduates, graduate students, & faculty across emory university to conduct climate related analyses, advance climate solutions, and host events that aim to increase our members’ capacity to take action. In the coming years, the initiative will seek to expand faculty involvement in climate related research, teaching and action, while collaborating with other emory teams working on sustainability and climate issues.
Chart Emory Rollins School Of Public Health Ecast provides a forum for undergraduates, graduate students, & faculty across emory university to conduct climate related analyses, advance climate solutions, and host events that aim to increase our members’ capacity to take action. In the coming years, the initiative will seek to expand faculty involvement in climate related research, teaching and action, while collaborating with other emory teams working on sustainability and climate issues. Our research spans three core themes are: climate change, environmental health, and justice: we explore the intersection of climate risks, air quality, and social inequities, focusing on developing adaptation solutions that promote justice and resilience in vulnerable communities. The emory climate coalition is a group of emory organizations working together to educate, research, and act upon the climate crisis. The goal of this project is to understand the challenges to creating a more healthy, equitable, and sustainable food system that ensures both human and planetary wellbeing in response to climate change. Large scale studies of people who visit emory’s hospitals for heat related illnesses to gain a better understanding their clinical, behavioral, social, economic, and housing related risk factors.
