Climate Connection The “climate connection champions” programme is designed to develop and amplify support for climate change action and cop26 amongst young people and institutions in the uae while building a network of champions across the community. Aue hosted a workshop under the title “climate connection champions”. the workshop was organized by the british council and taught students how to implement a sustainable thinking in their future projects. Through the programme, we bring together people with different backgrounds and perspectives to learn from and share with each other. working with our partners around the globe, we train participants in the skills and knowledge needed to address the climate change issues in their communities. The climate high level champions connect decision makers across industries, cities, and communities to accelerate climate solutions that protect people, build stronger economies, and ensure a stable future.

The curriculum is based on the understanding that there are opportunities present, but that learners and educators need assistance in the understanding and urgency of climate change, and how to become climate champions within their communities. She looks forward to seeing the social action plans the students have created currently being tested in their communities when they come together again in march 2022. together and through these kinds of programmes we can help find solutions for climate change here in bahrain. In the face of the upcoming climate crisis around the world, the climate champions connect is a world class network of youth dedication to climate champions connect: a catalyst for global youth action raise awareness of changes. The programme, which started in october 2021 on the back of cop26 in the uk, saw 50 students from across the uae creating four social action plans to address the challenges of climate and environment in the country during a one week workshop that also helped strengthen their leadership and team working skills.
