This training centre will provide vocational education, training and certification. the target audience includes energy industry professionals (e.g. operators, installations companies) and government officials involved in energy system planning and implementation. The rapid transition to clean energy, combined with a growing shortage of workers trained in the new technologies, has made it more important than ever to develop new, and scale existing, evidence based cte pathways and models that can meet the needs of a changing labor market. In this context, the webinar series on ‘tvet and the green energy transition’ will identify successful tvet strategies and approaches for preparing green workforce, that can be transferred to other national or regional contexts. Acp’s workforce training initiatives support the objectives outlined in the proclamation by helping to build a skilled workforce in the clean power industry.
