Clean Energy Master Plan For Suny Esf
Esf Programs Suny Clean Energy Consortium In 2017, esf was awarded a grant from the nyserda reforming the energy vision (rev) campus challenge to create a clean energy master plan (cemp) in partnership with ramboll. Currently, esf’s thermal energy network is powered by steam distribution through a looped system of underground pipes. the clean energy master plan, co funded by nyserda, proposes a decarbonized thermal energy network that could help esf decrease its greenhouse gas emissions by over 40%.
Esf Suny Clean Energy Consortium The clean energy master plan lays out a vision for low carbon and renewable technologies and operational strategies to reduce fossil fuel use dependency, increase electrification of utility operations, and maintain resiliency and reliability. The applicant will greatly benefit from the development of an energy master plan that includes a thorough assessment of past, current, and potential future energy initiatives. this will include a reformulating of energy and ghg targets, and a roadmap for implementation. In 2021, esf completed the college’s first clean energy master plan, in partnership with ramboll, with funding support from the nyserda reforming the energy vision (rev) campus challenge. Suny cortland will offer some specific examples on how the cemp has affected current building renovation and planning efforts to align with and prepare for energy master plan implementation.

Project details funding nys energy research and development authority: $154,000.00. Shifting from fossil fuels to low carbon technologies. the master plan concentrated on five strategic areas: energy efficiency, resiliency, renewable energy, stewardship, and engagement. Case studies will highlight the clean energy master planning process resulting in a 20 year roadmap of near term actions and a decision making framework for the long term vision of decarbonization and resiliency, including critical aspects of integrating with campus facilities master plans. In partnership with ramboll, the first clean energy master plan for the state university of new york college of environmental science and forestry (suny esf).
