Civil Discourse Project Home Our mission is to foster viewpoint diversity and civil discourse in american higher education to empower students to participate in good faith deliberation in the marketplace of ideas. Generously funded by the arthur vining davis foundations, the project has two core components: a speaker series open to the mit community, and seminars in concourse where students discuss freedom of expression and develop skills for successfully engaging in civil discourse.
