City Of Boulder Kicks Off Open Space And Mountain Parks Master Plan The grassland ecosystem management plan (grassland plan) proposes specific on the ground management actions, public policies and lands & water acquisition priorities to conserve the ecological values of open space & mountain park's grasslands and ensure on going agricultural production. Today, the city of boulder’s open space and mountain parks department kicked off a long term effort to continue and improve on that proud legacy by creating an inclusive, community based master plan for the future.
Open Space Mountain Parks City Of Boulder In 2025, boulder’s open space and mountain parks (osmp) is advancing key projects to help our community enjoy and protect the lands that generations have worked to conserve – ensuring future generations can continue to connect with these remarkable places. The lands shape the urban mosaic of the boulder valley and provide residents with passive recreation opportunities. trails are used by walkers, hikers, bicyclists, horseback riders, dog walkers and other passive recreational uses. Open space and mountain parks (osmp) is kicking off a systemwide multimodal improvements assessment as part of the citywide strategic plan – priority action item 7c and the osmp climate action plan. Osmp was successfully awarded a grant from the national parks service’s land and water conservation fund to conduct significant trail repairs on mount sanitas and construct two new, short trails to allow visitors to experience one of boulder’s most iconic locations and recreation areas.
