What i loved about this panel that the linen is so smooth and beautifully prepared that there is almost no tooth to it, the brush glides smoothly on it, yet if you want to bring more paint with palette knife it grips to the canvas nicely.

This was my first time painting on this panel. i chose it because it’s extra fine linen canvas lead oil primed, which means that you can only paint with oils on top. lead white oil primer was used almost exclusively through last 450 years.
