Character Study Feedback Please Polycount Looking for impruvement everyday, first post, male anatomy study, still finding effective and efficient ways to sculpt this cnc are welcome. Hey everyone, i am wondering what the average poly count is these days for the main character in a high end game by today’s standards? my current character is at about 11k polys and i would like to add more detail if possible.
Character Study Digital Bundle By Character Study There are a number of general face proportions you can memorize that will make character studies easier to map out and more realistic looking. i'd recommend loomis' fun with a pencil for more details. Unlike artstation, you don’t need to have a well marketed polycount account to be noticed. the platform is a community of experts, so the chance to meet incompetent, impolite or aggressive commentators is minimal. as a rule, users try to give valuable, constructive feedback. This isn’t necessarily a one size fits all answer. i generally shoot for resolutions on the lower end, anywhere from 5k 25k polygons for characters. if it’s a hero character (player) maybe more if they are third person. one of the things that will dictate how far you can go is how many characters are on screen at one time. I am close to wrapping up a portfolio project and i hoped to get some valuable feedback mainly on composition, lighting and colour grading from you guys. my goal was to capture a narrow, mediterranean style, iconic lisbon street in a small diorama, by using only a handful of modular assets.
