Tesl Ontario Ontesol Accredited Tesol Tefl Certification Teacher certification tesl ontario offers two pathways to achieve teacher certification, recognizing your qualifications and expertise in teaching english to adult learners. The table below lists tesl recognized training programs. until december 31, 2023 all programs listed as “on campus” will be offering their programs through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous virtual delivery.
Certification Tesl Ontario This 300 hour tesl diploma program is for those looking to become an ontario certified english language teacher (ocelt) to teach english in ontario, canada, and worldwide and or those seeking the tesl canada professional standard two certification. As a graduate of the tesl program (tesl 1 and tesl 2), you will be prepared for a variety of teaching opportunities both locally and abroad. you can apply to tesl ontario to be an ontario certified english language teacher (ocelt), eligible to teach in ontario, canada and internationally. Applicants who meet tesl ontario’s certification requirements are awarded both ocelt (ontario certified english language teacher) and icteal (international certificate in teaching english as an additional language) certifications. Candidates must complete the advanced tesol certificate training (120 hours), the separate practicum (20 hours), and meet the tesl ontario university education and english language proficiency requirements to be eligible for the tesl ontario ctesol certification.

Our tesol tesl tefl certification courses are held in over 40 cities all across canada including calgary, edmonton, halifax, hamilton, montreal, ottawa, toronto, vancouver, victoria, and winnipeg. At tesl ontario, we’re committed to offering courses that empower you to grow as an educator and advance your career. our specialized skills certificate courses are designed to enhance your teaching practices, develop leadership skills, and provide valuable professional development hours. Applicants whose training was completed at an institution not on our list of recognized teacher training program can apply to tesl canada for certification. you will not be eligible under our regular certification scheme because your training is not from a recognized program, but will be recommended to plar (prior learning assessment recognition).
