Case Studies In Climate Displacement
Argentina Case Study Climate Refugees Othering Belonging Institute Accessible from the climate displacement and resilience database, and designed to further encourage and guide national and international action, are comprehensive case studies on climate vulnerable countries. In this article, we present findings from qualitative case studies across three countries fiji, bangladesh, burkina faso and highlight perceived connections between local climatic and environmental change, (im)mobility, and health risks and opportunities.
Climate Displacement Refugees International This case study is based on climate refugees’ october 2022 research and interviews with 85 climate impacted and displaced persons in kenya experiencing climate induced displacement, migration and human rights losses. We are pleased to share this collection of case studies, which highlight a selection of the critical work national societies are doing to help protect and assist communities in the context of climate related displacement. This outlier event has led experts to suggest that climate change played a role in its scale and severity. more than 1 million people remained displaced as of december, demonstrating the challenges that idps still face in finding solutions following a disaster of this magnitude. Between 3.3 and 3.6 billion people live in areas highly vulnerable to climate change, and millions are displaced each year due to sudden disasters such as flooding and fire, slow onset land degradation, and social unrest caused by resources scarcity.

As triggers for both voluntary and involuntary migration, the intersection of climate change and environmental displacement is rapidly emerging as one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century.
