Brooklyn Public Library Lvck Lvck led a design build process to execute the implementation of a new exterior signage program, managing multiple sub contractors and ensuring a durable, flexible, and economical solution across the 58 branch libraries. Now on view at the center for brooklyn history, this exhibition brings 1776 and the american revolution to life through artifacts, archival documents and rare maps.
Brooklyn Public Library Lvck In august of 1776, the first and largest battle of the american revolution took place in what is now brooklyn, ny. the battle of brooklyn: fought and remembered at the brooklyn public library uses photos, artifacts, rare maps and more from the library’s collection to bring this turning point in american history to the public. The brooklyn public library commissioned the design firm lvck llc to create a proposal for exterior electronic signs for the seven historic buildings, five whose construction was funded by andrew carnegie, the brooklyn daily eagle reports. The design trust’s inaugural project resulted in a series of recommendations that provide design excellence and enhance the level of accessibility, mobility and security in newly constructed or renovated brooklyn public libraries.
