Using wæver and buzan’s securitization theory and japanese approach of human security, the article tries to prove why the current state of education should be considered as a new non traditional security threat and should be securitized by countries in the region. The far reaching impacts of the covid 19 pandemic underscore the critical need for evidence informed, transparent and inclusive decision making. policy makers have grappled with complex choices amidst uncertainty. As a result, the pandemic has not only disrupted the traditional educational model but has also intensified the need for innovative solutions that can bridge these gaps and ensure that all students have equitable access to quality education.
