This video, inspired by the "innovators" chapter, was created by hannah deresiewicz and sunanda vaidheesh, with production assistance from the berkman center for internet & society youth and media project.
Born Digital In collaboration with the youth and media project and the berkman klein center’s digital media producer, berkman klein center summer interns have created a set of videos inspired by each chapter of john palfrey and urs gasser’s book born digital. Our video editing pre apprenticeship builds on a decade of born digital programming: connecting young creators (ages 16–24) to real world editing experience, professional mentors, and paid internship pathways. The documents comprising creating and archiving born digital video are intended to illustrate the current practices in selected memory institutions in the u.s. federal sector when creating and archiving born digital video. I envision a future where digital people, as seen in this video, will become integrated into webpages, mobile apps, or even displayed in real life settings like city offices.
