William Davis Primary School Opening Times Contacts Primary School This week in reception, we’ve been learning about history. after focusing on nursery rhymes last week, we explored each peach pear plum. This week in reception, the children have been reading luna loves art by joseph coelho, a story about a young girl’s visit to an art gallery with her school. At the moment in year 2, we are learning about coding in computing. we had a go at tinkering with scratch. we used 'blocks' to create a piece of code. blocks are similar to commands. we used a sheet to explore what each block did. we found out so many new things!. Year 5 are learning about the use of word play in poetry. coinciding with national poetry week, the children demonstrated fantastic team work writing their poems and practising performing their poems with expression to captivate their audience. in art, year 5 were learning about the austrian artist friedensreich hundertwasser.
