Breast Cancer Hub Rarely, breast cancer metastasizes to the bladder. we present a case of primary hormone positive, her2 unamplified breast cancer, thirteen years in remission, with triple negative metastases to the bladder. When breast cancer metastasizes it might reach organs such as the bladder. the spread doesn’t mean you have bladder cancer too; it’s still breast cancer but in a different place. doctors call these new issues “secondary” or “metastatic” tumors because they stem from another location. Abstract bladder metastasis of breast cancer is clinically rare, and there is no report on simultaneous bilateral breast cancer with different pathological types complicated by bladder metastasis. this study reports a case of bladder metastasis in a patient with simultaneous bilateral breast cancer of different pathological types. While breast cancer is the most common malignancy in females, metastases to the urinary bladder are extremely rare. We present the case of a 48 year old female with a past medical history significant for metastatic breast cancer who presented to the urology clinic for evaluation of new onset left sided flank pain and hydronephrosis discovered on surveillance imaging. Using a similar approach, an independent group led by damrauer and colleagues also identified subtypes of bladder cancer, recognizing their close relation to breast cancer.
