Bilateral Cooperation Eumetsat Eumetsat and isro established their joint cooperation in 2000, which has only grown stronger over the years. today, the cooperation focuses on satellite data and product exchange from the parties’ respective earth observation satellites in support of weather analysis, forecasting, and oceanography. Mercator ocean international and the european organisation for the exploitation of meteorological satellites (eumetsat) have signed a landmark partnership agreement to strengthen and expand their long standing cooperation in satellite based ocean observation, climate forecasting, and sustainable resource management.
Bilateral Cooperation Eumetsat Dr. chen zhenlin expressed that for over 20 years, the two sides have conducted in depth cooperation by technical workshops, bilateral meetings and high level exchanges. Eumetsat has established cooperation agreements with agencies around the world covering the exchange of data and scientific expertise and more. these agreements directly benefit the national meteorological and hydrological services in our member states, as well as our international partners. The indian space research organisation (isro) and european organisation for the exploitation of meteorological satellites (eumetsat) have been collaborating extensively in the field of space borne missions for scientific research and operational applications related to earth sciences. This led to a bilateral agreement between eumetsat and noaa for an initial joint polar system (ijps) covering the midmorning and early afternoon orbits with free and open data access in near real time for the global user community.

Eumetsat is equally active with its international cooperation activities, having agreements in place with the nmhs or space agencies of canada, china, japan, korea, india and the united states of america. the cooperation with russia was suspended in march 2022.
