The project was envisioned by the renowned lebanese urban planner habib debs with support from jad tabet, and it was designed in collaboration with francis landscapes (beirut urban lab 2023; interview d 2023). The current design scheme of al masar al akhdar was conceived by the late urban designer, habib debs, as an integral element of a larger green network articulated in the plan vert et paysager de la ville de beyrouth for municipal beirut.
