Battletech Building A Fire Support Lance

Fire Support Lance R Battletech If i wanted to make a fire support lance, i would want long range damage, and armor and speed would come secondary to that. a cavalry pursuit lance would want high speed and decent guns, but armor would be less important. Lance types are a clever tool to add character and tactical depth to your alpha strike army. whether robust battle lances, fast strikers, ranged fire lances or specialized faction formations – the choice of your lance determines how your force fights and which special rules it receives. In addition to four 'mech pilots, there are normally four to six additional support personnel, making a lance roughly ten individuals. many smaller mercenary commands are typically one to two lances and their support staff; exact organization can depend on what a given command has available to it. I had these extra minis battletech minis that didn't fit any of the forces i was building. i painted them up, largely using speed paint is a quick tan and green.

So, in short, would some of you battletech scholars be so kind of making up some house lances for me? i'd like them to be as all round as possible which i think it means a four mech lance comprised of 1 each light, medium, heavy and assault mech. Watch your heat and don't use the lasers too much until the firestarter commits, at which point you should have enough firepower to take it out. at 15m, that's more than a quarter of the opfor's firepower gone. against a brawler lance based around bulwark more than evasion, this lance shines. While just throwing overwhelming force at the opfor, in form of a steiner scout lance or something similar, can easily get you through, there is alot of other approaches, and some of them are even more effective i would say. That said, for stock configurations you can generally find the bv of most any unit on sarna or masterunitlist.info (the canon site for all units in battletech, sarna is not canon). you can also use a program such as megameklab to build a custom unit and it can calculate the bv for the unit.
