This programme prepares graduates with knowledge in both finance and technology, allowing them to have a broad career pathway as they could take up positions in fintech industry, finance and it industries. Basc core courses students are required to complete 18 credits of basc core courses. Graduates of this programme are expected to become fintech professionals, leaders in the fintech industry, and researchers in the fintech discipline. they could take up a wide range of positions in fintech, it, finance, and regulatory compliance, or even have their own start ups.

Graduates of this programme are expected to become fintech professionals, leaders in the fintech industry, and researchers in the fintech discipline. they could take up a wide range of positions in fintech, it, finance, and regulatory compliance, or even have their own start ups. Students without dse level 5 or above (or equivalent), they are required to take caes1000 as supplementary credits and complete 246 credits for graduation. please take note of the information on page 7 for the enrollment arrangement. a requirement for all basc students. It is a rapidly emerging interdisciplinary area with very high impact on the economy of every society. the basc(fintech) degree (programme code: 6248) degree is jointly offered by the school of computing & data science and the business school. Connect our students with the fintech and it industries, such as standard chartered bank, mox bank, etc., to gain practical experience, build professional networks, and develop employer valued skills. Applicants with outstanding academic performance will be offered the hku scf scholarship in financial technology, each at the value of hk$50,000 and renewable up to hk$200,000, exclusively for students admitted to the basc (fintech) programme.
