Ball Python Finally Ate R Ballpython We attempted a feeding box separate from his main enclosure. with no success, we watched and listened to the voices of reddit. first we thawed the mouse in hot water while in a zip lock to maintain its scent. second we got a low power heat gun and blew warm mouse smell into the enclosure. So i recently got a ball python and i took awhile for her to eat but she finally ate last saturday it’s now friday and yesterday she struck at me just looking at her through the tank any advice she hasn’t struck at me since i’ve had her.

If he won't eat some stores won't take them back so you'll have to kill it yourself which is hard. for me i figured out the rat wasn't heated up warm enough, the hot side of his tank wasn't warm enough, and his humidity wasn't high enough.

Honestly, a 2 month hunger strike is the ball python equivalent of skipping lunch. it's also spring, so if he's housed close to your female or has any contact with her when you take him out, he was probably just horny. She finally ate after about two months she finally decided a mouse was acceptable food.
