The kit has a large kink where the cowling and fuselage meet. i built the area up with a little bit of sheet styrene before puttying and sanding to the correct profile. the wing roots are the next area that needs attention. the top wings were added to the lower wing and allowed to dry. Airfix have re issued their cac ca 13 boomerang again in the vintage classics line and i am absolutely delighted. i’ve had experience building a tasman models resin kit of this plane and lived to tell the tale – this one promises to be a lot easier to do but equally fun. Not many parts, as you'd expect for a kit from 1965, but they seem nicely moulded and flash free. lots of rivet heads though. colour and more stencils than there are plastic bits! this'll be interesting. i've got one in the stash. not a huge amount, but maybe enough to justify some scratch building.
