The 2024 maine cheese awards marks the third annual celebration of maine’s finest cheesemakers. open to licensed maine creameries using maine milk, the competition welcomes participants to submit their best cheeses across various categories. We were a nonprofit membership organization founded in 2003 by a group of pioneer maine cheesemakers seeking to share knowledge, enjoy camaraderie and promote maine cheese. There are over 60 licensed cheesemakers in the state of maine, and most of them belong to the maine cheese guild. the festival is a chance for our cheesemakers to strut their stuff and give you a sample of what makes them award winners in all kinds of national and international competitions.
