Autumn Peltier Community Hero Program At polite canada, we strive to honour and recognize individuals like autumn who work tirelessly to make their community and country a better place to live. together, we can make a difference by helping each other, supporting our communities, and standing up for what we think is right. Autumn peltier, a 16 year old from wiikwemkoong first nation in ontario, framed her fight for clean drinking water in canada's communities. Peltier grew up understanding the importance of water and the need to protect it. she began advocating for the universal right to clean drinking water at a very early age, raising awareness towards water rights and ensuring communities have access to clean, safe and reliable drinking water. I am so grateful to be able to share as part my honoured award into community hero program; with it is an opportunity to donate a gift of $10,000 to a charity of my choosing.
