Groups Moodledocs To auto create groups, click the 'auto create groups' button on the groups page (settings > course administration > users > groups in moodle 2.0 onwards). specify and group member count work together. you can specify if you would like to create. Create automatic groups select participants from the contextual navigation menu to open the module's list of enrolled users. change the drop down menu from enrolled user s to groups. select auto create group. in the general settings, choose n aming scheme to name the auto generated groups.
