New Astro City Restoration Arcade Projects Forums After much looking i recently managed to buy two arcade machines an astro city and a blast city. i've been reading a ton of other peoples astro city restoration threads (which there are a few here and other forums) trying to gather as much info as possible. What a fantastic work! i want to thank you for documenting the process. i'm planning on restoring my own new atro city soon and this tips will come very very handy.
Sega Astro City Restoration Arcade Projects Forums The first step was to re assemble the shell of the arcade in the shop since i know how that buffer flings materials everywhere. i also taped off the marquee panel that i couldn't remove to prevent it from getting the fiberglass polish on it. I decided i would document my restoration in this main post, while asking for your expert advise along the way. i hope by sharing this knowledge it will help another member purchasing the same cabinet. They were cheap and i thought i could switch shafts to achieve the correct height as it's not the primary cab i play on. long story short i got a set of seimitsu's from arcade shock coming and i'm gonna switch them out. but probably not for awhile as i got two new projects in the garage. I'm a bit worried i've been confused for someone else here, there was a thread a while back about a blast city for sale, another member was venting his frustrations about sellers and about not being able to find an astro, he was getting a bit overwrought shall we say.

I picked up a shagged sega new astro city shell to restore. its complete empty inside and the body is needs a overhaul of a respray. i also started this thread on my fb group. With the help of my friends juan pablo moyano (technical and emulation support), german orlandi (restoration and repairs support), rodrigo bucciarelli (general support) that let me a hand in the restoration and customization process i was able to do an important improvement of my nac cabinet. Today i brought home a sega astro city cabinet. i decided i would document my restoration in this main post, while asking for your expert advise along the way. i hope by sharing this knowledge it will help another member purchasing the same cabinet. i have placed this post on my favorite forums. I've got my astro city mostly restored, still needs some touch up paint, a new cp, and got to get the panels repainted. i don't currently have any pcbs though, i've been trying to win battletoads for the past 6 months to no avail.
