To draw a head with loomis construction, first start with a ball, then divide it by drawing a line in the middle, separating the ball into two vertical halves. then draw another line separating it horizontally. I started by sculpting solomon reed aka idris elba from cyberpunk 2077 and the first results looked like faces, but not like idris. kept going through several attempts until my latest attempt of idris still doesn't look like him, but is an incredible improvement to the previous attempts.
