An lanntair’s residency programme is designed to give participants an opportunity for creative research and exploration in a rich and dynamic environment, whether that is at sea or exploring the diverse landscapes of the islands.
Emblems An Lanntair We have a vibrant music and performing arts programme as well as running a full education and outreach remit which aims to engage with all sectors of the community by running classes and workshops and addressing healthcare and community needs. It includes signature works from artists including donald smith, steve dilworth, will maclean, anne campbell, sandra kennedy, moira maclean, annie catrell and anna macleod. The exhibition features 40 works by 40 artists over 40 years of an lanntair. these artists are among those which an lanntair has represented, encouraged and supported in various ways. Musicians and performers we’ve had the pleasure of hosting at an lanntair over the past year. from our hebcelt hebridean women performance and the brilliant gaelic band sian, to alice macmillan’s exciting debut ep launch, the electrifying here come the girls night, the ever popular appearances of jane.

Musicians and performers we’ve had the pleasure of hosting at an lanntair over the past year. from our hebcelt hebridean women performance and the brilliant gaelic band sian, to alice macmillan’s exciting debut ep launch, the electrifying here come the girls night, the ever popular appearances of jane. We are a multi arts venue – at one and the same time a contemporary art gallery, a theatre, a cinema, a dance studio, a concert hall, a platform for poetry and literature, a studio – every space stretched to showcase the arts in multiple forms.
