Kingston Heritage Service Kingston Heritage At kingston history centre, we have a mission to record both the highs and the lows of the borough’s history so that kingston communities’ experiences can form a collective memory to be kept for future generations. The city of kingston records are divided into five groups. extensive records exist and are fully described in the inventory, for all of the following groups and series.

This is the first place to visit if you are researching any aspect of kingston’s history. the local history library contains a large collection of books, pamphlets and other materials about the area’s history. The kingston archive has a collection of interesting oral histories, including 100 collected in 1989 from the 100 oldest people living in the borough. but history doesn’t stop and what we collect now influences how our lives and times will be interpreted by future generations. Back copies of historic kingston, with some exceptions, are available at $25 each, post paid. if you want one article, or some pages, they are available as pdf documents at $1 a page, with a $10 minimum. send inquiries and requests to kingstonhs@gmail .
