2013 Leadinglearner No idea why this has suddenly started being viewed again; from apr 2013, one of my very first blogs. interesting to look back; still relevant?. Learning as a headteacher can be a pretty exposed place. i’ve resurrected the piece and summarised it below. Christ the king nativity play – key stage 1 december 2013 these nativity plays always make me smile and congratulations to the primary school teachers and support staff who put so much effort into making these events so special. the plays take me back to when my own children were little and proudly wore tea towels on their heads. Paper – teaching improvement programme – april 2013 the teaching improvement programme is an attempt to formalise a lot of good practice we have and ensure it is consistently applied across the college.

2013 Leadinglearner Christ the king nativity play – key stage 1 december 2013 these nativity plays always make me smile and congratulations to the primary school teachers and support staff who put so much effort into making these events so special. the plays take me back to when my own children were little and proudly wore tea towels on their heads. Paper – teaching improvement programme – april 2013 the teaching improvement programme is an attempt to formalise a lot of good practice we have and ensure it is consistently applied across the college. The document discusses five dimensions of school leadership that have a direct impact on student outcomes: 1. establishing goals and expectations 2. resourcing strategically 3. planning, coordinating, and evaluating teaching and the curriculum 4. promoting and participating in teacher learning and development 5. Draft 5 minute ofsted plan. throughout the #5minofstedplan there is space for you to put the lead person for each section. this is very important as you don’t want to receive the phone call, only to find two senior leaders looking at each other saying, “i thought you were doing that!”.
