Application Viz Remade The Data School This week, the presentation task for my cohort was to remake our application vizes. in doing this, i considered feedback during the interview, what i had studied in class, and lastly feedback from my colleagues in the office today. This weeks' presentation challenge, was to take the tableau dashboards we had created for our applications, and re build them based on feedback from the interview, and what we have learnt over the past 2 weeks.

Application Viz Remade The Data School Here is my updated viz: in my next dashboard, i need to think about making sure that my entire dashboard flows well. our task for this week was to makeover our application vizzes. i wanted to focus on making sure all of the charts in my viz aligned with my intended user story. It’s the end of week 2 in ds 37 and our cohort has been asked to improve on one of our application vizzes. i decided to take a look at the viz i had created for the first stage of the application process as i thought it should have plenty of areas to look at. I’d love to keep working on my enhanced application viz, like giving it some flair and a more inviting intro but if i’ve learned anything from this project, it’s that vizzes can always be improved!. After a week long case study of survivor data, data school new york applicants for cohort 3 submitted their final application dashboards earlier this week! before the deadline, i organized office hours for friends applying to the data school.

After one week of tableau training we were given our project wherein we were tasked with revisualising our original application viz. Our project this week for ds 39 is to apply all the new skills we have learnt in tableau desktop to our first viz completed for the data school application. that was the first time i have ever opened tableau and looking back on my work in a new perspective allowed me to see where i could have better decisions based on practices. Last week, we re viz ited our first application visualizations for the data school new york. our goal was to enhance our submission with more data and tableau best practices. Last week, for our friday project we were tasked with revising our original application viz. we had to critique our originals with what was good about it worked and what didn't and then make a list of improvements to it and implement it.
