Apiary Solo To Today was the first chance i had to unbox and play it. it has really good components, icons are easy to understand. artwork is terrific. the automa is the usual good job from automa factory. it’s simple to operate and its actions do many of the things that having a human opponent would do. In the solo mode, you’re going up against an automa that uses two worker colours to block various spots around the board. you flip over a card and resolve the action, using the back of the next card as a tiebreaker (like where to explore, or which tile to take). I played my first game of apiary today, solo mode. i feel like i had a hard time grasping the strategy right away, but i managed to beat the automa only.
