Algal research is an international phycology journal covering all areas of emerging technologies in algae biology, biomass production, cultivation, harvesting, extraction, bioproducts, biorefinery, engineering, and econometrics. The lab is equipped with major instruments like algae growth chamber, thermalcycler (pcr), microscope with documentation systems, deep freezer and the facilities are available to carry out research work in the interdisciplinary areas of algal biotechnology. We develop and deploy scalable algae based systems that not only sequester up to 158 tons of co₂ per hectare annually but also create stable rural livelihoods for fisherfolk, youth, and women led. As the research interests of the algae research laboratory (arl) expanded, marine microalgae, marine diatoms, cyanobacteria and thraustochytrids were added into the collection.
