Aiddata S Partners Our current and recent institutional partners and funders include government and multilateral agencies, private foundations, businesses, think tanks, and civil society organizations from around the world. Aiddata was formed in 2009 as a partnership between brigham young university (byu), the college of william and mary, and development gateway. the organization was formed through the merger of two prior initiatives: project level aid (plaid) and accessible information on development activities (aida).
Aiddata S Partners Aiddata is an international development research lab at william & mary that uses rigorous, evidence based research and advanced analytical tools to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges. Aiddata, key partner in the geofield initiative, is playing a transformative role in integrating geospatial technology with sustainable agriculture and climate resilience strategies. Through its large scale survey of 55,000 policymakers and practitioners from 126 countries, aiddata captures unique insights on the performance of development partners and the uptake of data and evidence in the policymaking process to hasten progress towards the sustainable development goals. The lab’s work caught the attention of the bill & melinda gates foundation, resulting in a $4.74 million, four year grant for a new project led by aiddata with two other partners: mercy corps and devglobal.
