This insightful discussion, originating from the summer of 2020 in response to the tragic events surrounding george floyd, focuses on the ongoing efforts within the college of behavioral and social sciences at our campus. experts in the field shed light on the challenges of addressing bias in ai. This lecture will explore how generative artificial intelligence (ai) platforms are being used to produce racially charged and derogatory imagery. the practice raises several critical questions about racial biases, data privacy, and the limitations of legal reform. In order to begin racial healing we must understand how racism and segregation have shaped and continue to shape this country and we must first face the truth that systemic racism harms all of.
