The conference will be held in central ballarat, at feduni's smb and camp st campuses, and at the ballarat mechanics' institute. opening events will take place on the evening of monday 4 july, and the conference will run until friday 8 july. The first paper was presented by fiona kinsey and hannah perkins from museum victoria, talking about a true boom and bust tale the 120 year rise and fall of kodak australasia, as seen through oral and visual records. The aha 2016 conference was held in ballarat in the first week of july. after getting lost finding the central federation university campus in cold, drizzly winter weather, i settled down for four days of stimulating papers. The final paper for the session, and for the day, was judith godden’s paper “boom to bust in adoption: the case of crown street women’s hospital” which looked at forced adoptions at crown street (sydney) between 1950s and 1970s.
