Mostly a matter of preference as far as the pull force, but to me, trying to shoot a gun accurately with a heavy trigger pull is like trying to cut with a dull knife.

This was an old trick some shooters would use on new handguns to help smooth up any burrs and try to get a slick "well used" feel to the trigger, especially on a new gun. i didn't need to do it on my omega, but have done it on a couple of other older revolvers, and it does seem to have some benefit after a couple of dozen "hard pulls". While i find most omega triggers acceptable there are exceptions. the main complaint of the omega is it's lack of adjustability and the trigger guard is small for the northern climates and thick heavy gloves. Has anyone gone through the process of "easing" the trigger pull on an omega? i'd like to get my weight of pull down a little. thanks, strutter.

Just pull the plug, roll out a ball, put the plug back, and you’re ready to load. plus you will fit right in at your mountain man camp, or on the range. while i cannot claim to know exactly how many of what size balls it will hold; i will say that you can get (42) .45 cal. rb’s in it, i know i counted them as i put them in.
