Addressing Interdisciplinary Problems Itb Students Won Meritorious Bandung, itb.ac.id – three students of institut teknologi bandung (itb) earned an international level achievement in mathematical contest in modeling (mcm). they earned the meritorious winner on the competition that was held on 24 28 january 2019. During that time, teams of three students researched, modeled, and wrote a solution to an open ended interdisciplinary modeling problem. the 2025 icm was an online contest, where teams registered and obtained contest materials through comap’s icm website.

We collected evidence during our workshop regarding barriers to interdisciplinary collaborations in science education, perceptions of perceived cohesion in participants’ home university departments and professional communities, and the impact of our workshop on fostering new connections. We’re on a journey to advance and democratize artificial intelligence through open source and open science.
