Acts 2 Church Acts 2 Church At acts 2 our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of christ. jesus is central to our very existence. we offer ministries for people of all ages and walks of life who are looking to strengthen their relationships with christ. 22 “fellow israelites, listen to this: jesus of nazareth was a man accredited by god to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which god did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 this man was handed over to you by god’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cro.

Our text gives us a snapshot of a healthy local church, the first church after the day of pentecost. it was not a perfect church, since it was made up of people. we will later see some of the problems they encountered. but god was at work in their midst. Acts 2 depicts the dramatic coming of the holy spirit on the day of pentecost, marking the birth of the church. the disciples, empowered by the spirit, begin to speak in different tongues, amazing the diverse crowd gathered in jerusalem.
